Located in the heart of Old Town Carmel, the Arts & Design District is home to interior designers, art galleries, showrooms, specialty shops and restaurants.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Mr. and Mrs. Santa ClausCome Greet Mr and Mrs Claus as They Arrive on an Antique Firetruck!
They will be at our unique hand decorated Santa House on December 8, from 3-6 at the PNC parking lot at Range Line and Main Streets. There will also be Silly Safari reindeer, carriage rides, and entertainment by the Tudor Rose Players. Please stop by to see local artist R. Carol Skinner and her beautifully illustrated coloring book a "Victorian Christmas in the Carmel Arts District." Face painting Fun with Frannie, Christmas card making with Adam Seif of Club Applesauce, cookie decorating, balloon animals and more!

We're very excited to welcome Indianapolis Colts player Matt Overton from 4-5 p.m. to help us collect food for those in need this season.

Tudor Rose PlayersDon’t forget our 2nd Saturday IU Health North Hospital Gallery Walk will continue from 5-10 pm with pieces created just for the holiday season and available for purchase.

Annual Candlelight Tour
The Museum of Miniature Houses will be hosting their annual Candlelight Tour from 5:00 - 8:00pm. See wonderful Christmas collections and be amazed by their huge collection of dollhouses, ready for the holidays. Tudor Rose Players will also be entertaining with their beautiful Victorian Carols.

The Nutcracker Ballet
For children ages 4-7
Saturday, December 1; 10:00-10:45 a.m.; Storytime Room
Come to the library and experience the magical story of The Nutcracker, presented by the Indiana Ballet Conservatory. You’ll hear the enchanting story, watch costumed dancers perform a special part, and make a keepsake craft. Santa’s Elf and His Live Reindeer!
For families with children of all ages
Thursday, December 6; 5:00-5:45 p.m. and 7:00-7:45 p.m.; Program Room
One of Santa’s very own elves is visiting from the North Pole! He’s sharing secrets about life in Santa’s workshop and bringing a live reindeer for you to meet. Join us for a Merry Christmas fun time! No registration is required. For more information, call the Children’s desk at 844-3363.

Jolly Jingle Jubilee!

Create & Decorate

With the holidays come baking days! In this yummy program, we’ll make our own icing, decorate delicious and delightful sugar cookies, and explore cookbooks. Bring a cookie recipe of your own if you’d like, and we’ll email you the compilation of holiday cookie recipes for new and eco-friendly baking inspiration!
