Carmel Arts and Design District Logo Unveiled

Carmel, IN – Mayor Jim Brainard and the Carmel Redevelopment Commission have approved a logo to represent the Carmel Arts and Design District. At the Gala last fall, guests were asked to help create the logo by providing comments and feedback on a few sample logo designs. Their suggestions were used to help guide the final look of the logo.
This logo will be showcased on each of the four archways into the Arts and Design District, as well as on signs in the district along Range Line Road and Main Street. The archways are still in the process of being designed. The colors in the logo were specifically selected to be used throughout the district to accent businesses and retail shops.
“We wanted to create a logo that will set this district apart, and capture the unique, artistic feel of the district. Whenever you see the logo, we want you to be reminded of the vibrant colors in the art galleries, hear the sounds of light music and taste the delicious foods from the Carmel Arts and Design District,” said Mayor Jim Brainard.

The Carmel Arts and Design District is an area in Old Town Carmel where fine art galleries, high-end antique stores, furniture shops, boutiques, designers and restaurants will be located. This District’s redevelopment has already begun with several businesses receiving $5,000 grants to make exterior improvements to their storefronts.  To become involved in the Arts and Design District, contact Les Olds, Redevelopment Director at 571-2492.
