Mayor Jim Brainard Appoints Jeff Worrell to the Carmel Redevelopment Commission

Carmel, IN – Mayor Jim Brainard recently appointed Jeff Worrell to the Carmel Redevelopment Commission (CRC).  The CRC is responsible for overseeing the City’s redevelopment projects.  Due to his extensive involvement within the Carmel community, Worrell is uniquely qualified to serve on the Carmel Redevelopment Commission.
“Jeff has been such an active member of our community and truly understands our vision and goal of making Carmel the best place to live, work and raise a family.  He is perfectly suited to serve on CRC and help Carmel continue its high-quality development efforts,” said Mayor Brainard.
Among his accomplishments, Worrell, owner of Advantage Medical Rehab Equipment and Supply, is the CEO of the National Medical Alliance (NMA) in Carmel, IN.  He founded NMA more than a decade ago when he aligned his Carmel-based company with 20 similar companies throughout the United States to purchase products in larger quantities, giving them a competitive edge.
Worrell is an active member of the community currently serving on boards of the Carmel Clay Chamber of Commerce, the Carmel International Arts Festival and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.   He is also a member of the CarmelFest Committee, Carmel Rotary Club, and a former member of the Carmel Clay Board of Parks and Recreation.

Worrell co-hosts “Connecting with Carmel,” the monthly magazine show on Carmel Government Access Channel 16 (CGC16).  He also coordinates the city’s volunteer initiative, “CarmelCan!”  Last year, he received the “Most Valuable Volunteer” award from the Carmel Clay Chamber of Commerce for his extensive community service.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity to be a part of Carmel’s revitalization,” said Worrell, who resides here with his wife Shari and their two teenage children, Brad and Amy.
The Carmel Redevelopment Commission consists of a five-member board that oversees redevelopment in Carmel.  Three of the members are appointed by the Mayor and two of the members are appointed by the Carmel City Council.  Les Olds is the Director of the Redevelopment Commission and board members include Ron Carter - President; William Hammer - Vice President; and Rick Sharp - Secretary.

Worrell is replacing Robert Battreall who retired.
