Carmel Arts & Design District November Events and Activities

CURRENT – “Christmas Assistance Program” at Petals and Fine Gifts
o       Petals and Fine Gifts is a collection site for donations, canned goods and toys for the Carmel Fire Department’s “Christmas Assistance Program” to help under-privileged people in Hamilton  County.

STARTING NOVEMBER 1ST – “Tour De Fat” at Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream
o       For 12 weeks during the cold Indiana winter, Bub’s Burgers will showcase a new specialty burger each week. Get a passport stamp for each burger eaten.  Persons filling their passports receive a free souvenir T-shirt and are entered in the grand prize drawing.

NOVEMBER 2nd – Comedian Jeff Caldwell at Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream

NOVEMBER 3RD – GRAND OPENING of the Blue Egg Gallery

NOVEMBER 3rd – 4th – Indianapolis Monthly Art House featuring Art & Soul Gallery
o       Indianapolis Monthly art house will showcase works from area’s top artists and galleries, including Art & Soul Gallery, in new Williams Creek luxury residence.
o       Tour open for two weekends: Nov. 3-4, and Nov. 9-11 from 1-6 p.m.
o       Admission: $12 – can be purchased at the door.  One hundred percent of ticket proceeds will benefit the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of art will benefit the Arts Council of Indianapolis’ Emerging Artist Fellowship.
o       Parking available at Second Presbyterian Church at 7700 N. Meridian Street.  Complimentary shuttles will take patrons to home in Williams Creek.

NOVEMBER 4th – 16th – Hamilton County Artists Exhibit at Carmel Clay Library
o       Annual exhibit features Hamilton  County artists.  Pieces on display are available for purchase.  This year’s exhibit will also feature a children’s section.

 NOVEMBER 9TH – Deadline for Young Artists Concerto Competition
o       Deadline to enter the Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Young Artists Concerto Competition, sponsored by Meridian Music.  Winner receives a $1,000 cash prize in addition to being a featured performer at the Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s “Family Fun!” concert.

NOVEMBER 10TH – Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s “The Artistry of Larry Shapiro”
o       Saturday, November 10th at 7:30 p.m.
o       Performance takes place at Carmel  High School located at 520 E. Main Street
o       Complimentary reception following the concert at the Carmel Clay Public Library (55 Fourth Ave. SE).
