Carmel Redevelopment Commission Approves Marketing Firm

Carmel, IN – At the public meeting on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, the Carmel Redevelopment Commission (CRC) approved Hirons & Company as the marketing agency of choice for select CRC projects. Hirons & Company is selected to provide full service marketing for Carmel redevelopment areas such as the Arts & Design District, City Center project and the Regional Performing Arts Center. The CRC elected to hire a marketing firm to provide the planning and implementation of an integrated marketing communications plan to help ensure the economic viability of each of the areas noted above.

“We wish to protect and foster the near, medium and long-term business prospects of these areas with special concentration on the Arts & Design District. After a review of many qualified marketing agencies, it was decided that Hirons & Company offered the most comprehensive and innovative match to our needs. We are extremely pleased and excited to begin working with Tom Hirons and his employees,” said Ron Carter, President of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission and City Councilman.

Hirons & Company, a nationally recognized converged communications agency founded by Tom Hirons, is also listed as a top-ranked full-service advertising agency for the second year in a row by the by the Indianapolis Business Journal “2007 Book of Lists.” The company focuses on research-based marketing including branding, advertising and public relations. Hirons’ headquarters is based in downtown Indianapolis, with the original office located in Bloomington, Indiana. An additional full-service office is scheduled to open in Washington D.C. in 2008.

“We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in communities across the state in economic development, redevelopment, branding and promotion. Carmel has a bold vision and is at an extraordinarily exciting time in its development. We are honored to have the opportunity to assist in this ambitious undertaking,” said Hirons.

The CRC chose Hirons & Company based on quality of work and creativity, impressive results from successful campaigns, a similar client base and strong experience in the non-profit sector. Hirons & Company has worked with clients related to tourism, arts related organizations, other economic development organizations, the public sector and retail and restaurant destinations.
