June Events in the Carmel Arts & Design District

Carmel, IN – The month of June is packed with many merchant activities and two new district-wide community events planned to entertain visitors to the area.  Car lovers will delight in the inaugural Carmel Artomobilia, a collector car show taking place Father’s Day weekend on Saturday, June 14th from noon-6 p.m.  The show celebrates the art and design of the car, with more than 80 collector cars from categories from classics to vintage sports cars to racers and exotics.  Another inaugural event, Dog Day Afternoon, takes place the following weekend on Sunday, June 22nd from 1-5 p.m.  Dog and pet lovers are invited to the Arts & Design District to browse dozens of pet-related booths, bid on silent auction items and witness the Mary & Martha’s Exceedingly Chic Boutique Pet fashion show.  Individuals have the chance to participate in the public “Puppy Parade” fashion show by filling out an application on the Arts & Design District website.  Please see below for more details.

  • CURRENT – Registration now open for Kids Arts and Crafts Summer Camps at Artisan Masterpiece
    • The eight-week summer camp runs from June 9 – August 8, and offers the potter’s wheel & hand-built clay sessions, mosaic, tie-dye, collage making, painting, drawing and creating over 40 different craft pieces.  Campers can sign up for weekly, daily, full day or half day sessions, making it easier to accommodate family schedules.

      • The Build-A-Play Workshop is being offered by the City Center Children’s Theatre in conjunction with Magdalena Gallery of Art to offer kids the opportunity to learn theatre based art (ie: masks, props, costumes and backdrops) as well as acting in one, fun summer camp.  Camps run for one week each and cost is $140/camp.  Registration required.
