Simply Sweet Shoppe and Second Story Playhouse Host Make-A-Wish Foundation Book Signing Event
By Erin Witt
Dec. 16, 2008
Carmel, Ind. – On Saturday, Dec. 20 from noon – 2 p.m., Simply Sweet Shoppe and Second Story Playhouse will co-host a book signing benefit with children’s author and illustrator Adam Seif.
In addition to signing copies of his latest book, “Tacos, Beans and Rice,” Seif will create original cartoons and stories for children attending the event. All proceeds from the book’s $5 purchase price will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“This is a great chance to have some creative fun and raise money to help kids’ wishes come true at the same time,” said Seif.
“Tacos, Beans and Rice” follows squabbling twin brothers from El Paso, Texas, and their adventures. The two brothers have distinct personalities — one is a cowboy who drawls "y'all" while the other has a Spanish accent. Although the story is Seif’s first children’s fiction, his instructional book, "Adam and Jeremy's Artistic Adventure," was published in 2001.
Simply Sweet Shoppe and Second Story Playhouse are located in the heart of the Carmel Arts & Design District at 30 N. Range Line Rd. For more information, please contact Bernie Szuhaj at 317.818.9866 or visit www.30northrangeline.com.
