L’Evento debuts one-stop event planning destination in Carmel Arts & Design District
Event resource boutique, library offers centralized information, meeting space for local event planning community
CARMEL, Ind. – This month, the Carmel Arts & Design District welcomed another unique service provider to its growing and diverse merchant community. L’Evento Event Resource Boutique opened its doors with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 21 S. Range Line Road on Oct. 16, adding a new dimension to the range of conveniences available to patrons of the Carmel Arts & Design District.
L’Evento offers a simplified, time-saving process for event planning. People preparing to host a wedding, bar mitzvah, birthday party or any other special event can visit without an appointment to peruse portfolios in the comfortable resource library and view DVDs and samples at no charge. Private meeting rooms and a gift boutique also are on site.
L’Evento’s professional members pay a membership fee which helps support the free services offered by l'Evento, explained Heather Lapham Kuhn, graphic designer and owner of l’Evento.
The full spectrum of event planning vendors and service providers are represented, including beauty, travel, rentals, music and gifts.
“I saw an opportunity to simplify and streamline the planning process and to reduce the need to drive all over,” Kuhn said. “People have much less time today. This allows them to find all their professionals in an organized and efficient way.”
Although the resources are available for independent client use, l’Evento also provides consultations and event plan development upon appointment, for a modest fee.
“If someone needs additional guidance, I will help them identify their event priorities and style and even can help define a budget,” Kuhn said. “Then, using that information, we can narrow the selection of professionals who might best meet their needs. This saves clients from having to thumb through 50 portfolios and instead allows them to focus on four or five good fits.”
L’Evento is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m-6 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and other times by appointment. Call 317.564.4856 to schedule.
Local event professionals interested in being considered for l'Evento membership should e-mail email@example.com. For more information about District merchants and events, visit www.carmelartsanddesign.com or call 317.571.ARTS (2787).
