About the Artist
An Indianapolis native, Jerry Williams received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from Indiana University’s Herron School of Art. He began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator with Methodist Hospital’s Photography and Medical Illustration Department. He is now one of the founders of Green Jays Communications, a marketing communications firm.
Jerry has had an interest in the natural world since childhood. He draws and paints wildlife, which launched his art career. He is a lifelong member of the local chapter of the Audubon Society and the National Wildlife Federation. He is an active member of the Eagle Creek Park and Cool Creek Park birdwatching groups. He has traveled extensively in the United States birdwatching, hiking, and photographing wildlife.
He also has a passion for gardening. He enjoys creating a backyard environment to attract birds, butterflies and animals by planting appropriate trees and flowers.
Jerry, now a resident of Carmel, is married to Julie Herrick Williams and stepfather to three boys. |
